Welcome to Moultonborough Middle Level

MSD Schools resume in-person instruction January 6, 2021

In-person students to return to in-person school on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Sports practices are scheduled to resume on January 6, 2021.

Please remember that COVID preventative measures, such as mask-wearing, social distancing, frequent hand-washing, and completing the daily screening before your child leaves for school, help keep our students in school for in-person learning.

We ask that if families have a student that tests positive for COVID-19 they reach out to the school nurse with that information as soon as possible.

New Schedule for Middle Level Students Starting January 6, 2021

When students return to in-person instruction January 6, the Middle Level Grades  will have a new schedule.

Middle Level Students will have half their classes one week (Red Week) and the other half of their classes the next week (Black Week), alternating each week until Feb 1.  The goal of this schedule change is to reduce potential exposure and to limit the impacts of quarantining so that school may stay in session in person.

January 6-8 - Red Week
January 11-15 Black Week
January 19-22 Red Week
January 25 - 29 Black Week.

More detailed schedules for each grade level may be found here.

School Meals Announcement

The district is offering complimentary breakfast and lunch for all children 18 years and younger. (Courtesy of a USDA grant to provide relief during COVID-19.) Meals are available to all students.

Students in remote learning may utilize Curb-Side Pickup at the backdoor of the cafeteria located at Moultonborough Academy. We ask that you send an email at least 2 days in advance to meals@sau45.org to let us know if you would like the curbside pickup.

Curb-Side Pickup also applies to homeschooled children, siblings not yet enrolled in school, and any child that is 18 years and younger.

The more residents 18 and under that participate in the breakfast and lunch program, the more grant funding the district receives. We encourage any Moultonborough resident who is 18 years and younger to get these complimentary meals

District Message on Equity and Social Justice

The recent killing of George Floyd, the ensuing widespread riots and protests may leave children with many questions and emotions.  These issues can be difficult to discuss with children in an age appropriate manner. The Moultonborough School  and Community Charter has five pillars: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Compassion and Moral Courage.  The Moultonborough Schools will do all we can as a school system to uphold these ideals. We address them directly in our educational programs, and in our engagement with students and families, working for a world that is equitable and kind; where people do not have to fear for their lives because of the color of their skin; and where everyone has the same opportunities to grow, thrive and enjoy their lives.

Educational resources that may help you in discussing racism with your child may be found here.
